April 24 Message From Rev. Tam

My Beloved Church Family,
Wasn’t the trumpet player lovely this past Sunday? There’s something about a single note held just long enough that reminds us that resurrection doesn’t always arrive with a spotlight. Sometimes it slips in quietly, like morning light through the blinds.

As I shared this on Easter Sunday, resurrection didn’t begin with a grand display. It started in the dark. Quiet. Hidden. Before the sun had fully risen, before the disciples even knew what had happened. That’s how hope often moves, not in big, sweeping gestures, but in quiet courage. In slow healing. In showing up, even when it’s hard.

Some of us are stepping into new light right now. Not all at once, and not without effort, yet still, we’re stepping forward. Maybe your body feels worn down, or your spirit has been stretched thin. Maybe you’re carrying more than most people know. And still, you’re here. You’re breathing through the hard moments. You’re offering kindness. You’re making room for rest and for grace. That, beloved, is resurrection in motion.

If today feels heavy or unfinished or unclear, let this be your reminder: you don’t have to feel “all better” to be walking in resurrection. You don’t have to have everything figured out to be on your way to new life. You just have to keep moving. Keep trusting. Keep walking.

If Jesus walked out of a tomb, then so can we.

And I promise, you don’t have to walk alone.

With you in hope,

Rev. Tam
