While Christmas gets the biggest reviews in our culture and most American churches, Easter is the most important day of the church year. It is when we celebrate the only reason the church exists: Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Given that this holiday celebrates the GOSPEL in its purest form. It is an amazing time to invite a friend, co-worker, or family member. Because you know that on Easter the message is going to be about the core of what faith in Jesus is about.
Especially someone who was raised in the church or a culture that taught faith in the schools, because they know that they should be in a church on Easter. It is LOW HANGING FRUIT.
I am telling you this early so that you can pray, listen for people in your life that are experiencing a need that God could help, and then invite. AND I HAVE GOOD NEWS. To help you, we have hanging up in THE BELL TOWER, invite cards.
If you have someone that you have been trying to get to church, or have been talking about faith with or think might come to Easter or another Sunday, grab one of three invite cards. Invite them to church and then give them the card (on the back you can write the service time).
Give it a shot. The worst that can happen is nothing. But the best thing is a life transformed because of your faithfulness. JESUS IS TOO GOOD TO KEEP TO OURSELVES!
Amen.
