This was a question asked by one of the students in my discipleship/confirmation class. Church – this is a question we need to answer. Who is ready? I’d love to fill Easter-tide – the season after Easter with personal testimonies. When did your faith become important to you? What was the catalyst? What difference has it made in your life?
As I have said before, I grew up in a church that never taught me that Jesus made a difference in your life. There were probably plenty of people for whom Jesus HAD made a difference, but I didn’t know about them. It was strangely taboo to discuss personal faith.
This reminds me of the verse in 1 Peter 3:15 that says, “Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.”
Let’s be bold in sharing with our young people about our hope and what Jesus has done for us!
Looking forward to worshipping with you all on this coming Sunday (It’s Palm SUNDAY!)
Blessings to you,
Pastor Karen
